Starting your own blog doesn’t have to be complicated. In fact, more and more people are starting blogs every day. It seems that just about every person or business has a blog these days.
The good news is that the free step-by-step guide on

how you can start a blog with the Rebel Blog module,
which can be used from any computer, tablet, or smartphone.
Rebel Blog is the most popular blog module for
OpenCart.
In this step-by-step guide I am going to show you EXACTLY how to create a blog and configure Rebel Blog so that you get the most out of it.
STEP 1:
Go to rebel-blog-cms-opencart and download the module.
STEP 2:
You have to login to OpenCart admin and install your Rebel Blog module.
2.a Automatic installation
From the menu on the left select Extensions and then Extension Installer to install your module by using the built-in Extension Installer.
First, make sure you've entered the correct FTP information for your site in the System > Settings > FTP area.
Then, browse to Extensions > Extension Installer, click "Upload" and select the RebelBlog...ocmod.zip file for the extension.
The last step to do is refresh your modification. Go to Extension > Modification and press multiple times Refresh button.
2.b Manual installation
You'll need to use some FTP application to upload the files. After unzipping the RebelBlog...ocmod.zip file, you will upload the contents of the "upload" folder to the root of your OpenCart installation.
The last step to do is to install the ocmod file. Browse to Extensions > Extension Installer, click "Upload", and select the iws4u_rebel_blog...ocmod.xml file for the extension.
Then go to Extension > Modification and press the Refresh button multiple times
STEP 3:
Select form the menu on the left System > Users > User Groups. Now you must selected your group. Usually the name of the group is Administrator. Press the blue button on the right side from the group name.
Now you can see the list of permissions. You have to find blog/rebel and then check both fields Access Permission and Modify Permission next to blog/rebel. Don't forget press the save button.
THE FINAL STEP:
This is all about how to install the Rebel Blog. Select from the menu on the left the Extensions and you should see the Rebel Blog menu.
The last thing that you have to do is to go to the Rebel Blog settings. You can find them on the right top corner of the module. You have to setup all fields and save your settings.
Your Blog is ready to post first news.
